PERSPECTIVE

It's all in how you look at things..............

What's "ordinary" to one,
is "exotic" to another....

Worthy of adornment.

CARGO

In Portland Oregon.............

In The Pearl District.............

There is a store called Cargo.............
full to the brim with all sorts of treasures
from all sorts of places.

This will be sort of a one-sided view of the store
because I really only took a few pictures of things that
especially interested me.

But you get the idea......

Little childrens hats..................

I can't resist old textiles like this.......

and these..................

Mostly I was interested in these.................

so cool !! old trunks and cupboards from Asia....

The colors, finishes and glazes were amazing.

It's really a fun store, a good place to wander around and explore.

If you would like to see more pictures of Cargo, go to Amys blog,
it seems she was just there as well.

The Pearl District in general has changed a lot over the years that we
have been going there.
A lot of the "funkier" shops seem to be gone ,
replaced with higher end galleries, and restaurants.
All good, just not what we used to seek that area out for.

Although this roadtrip was a quick one, with seeing
The Dalai Lama the main purpose,
I did manage to fit in a tiny bit of
junk gathering.

Just a tiny bit.......:)
